Job description

Reporting to the Chief Development Officer and working in support of the Development, Communications and Executive Team, the Development Coordinator will help fulfill critical fundraising goals and activities. 

Responsibilities include: 

Support of fundraising activities: 

  • Annual Fundraising, Development Research and Communications, including: Mailings, eBlasts, annual appeals 
  • Events: Collaborate with colleagues to support and ensure the successful execution of fundraising, donor cultivation and stewardship events. Working with volunteers, staff, vendors and contractors, establish and meet event goals and ensure positive attendee experience 
  • Stewardship: Collaborate with colleagues to develop donor stewardship strategies and execute with high-level of detail 
  • Gifts Processing, gift acknowledgements, data entry: 

  • Process gifts, enter gift data and produce prompt and accurate gift acknowledgments.  
  • Regularly update donor acknowledgement forms to reflect timely updates on Health Equity’s work 
  • Maintain accuracy of donor and gift information. Keep contact plans and records up-to-date. 
  • Develop gift and revenue reports that measure fundraising goals and metrics 
  • Collaborate with Development and Finance colleagues to produce customized reports, as needed. 
  • Manage monthly giving and online donation process, including set-up of new donation pages  
  • Respond appropriately and rapidly to donors’ and prospective donors' requests for information, working in collaboration with colleagues as required 
  • Executive and overall Health Equity International administrative support: 

  • Answer office phones, serve as front line contact with donors and greeter as needed 
  • Provide executive assistance to CEO: calendar, scheduling, priority-setting, CEO and visitor travel arrangements, itinerary, and meeting agenda setting and support 
  • Provide administrative support to Board, Executive Committee and other Board Committees and meetings 
  • Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 1- 2 years experience in non-profit or related environment preferred. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines 
  • Team player 
  • Prior experience with office management and administration or other relevant experience 
  • Attention to detail 
  • Flexibility to adapt to high-paced organization in a period of positive growth and change 
  • Outgoing and comfortable talking with donors and colleagues, in person and on the phone 
  • Ability to work occasionally on nights or weekends to support SBHF events 
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously and to take initiative 
  • High level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness 
  • Strong work ethic and require minimal direction 
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge, Raiser’s Edge NXT or another database system is a plus 
  •
