Requirements for the applicant
Job description

Little Brothers-Friends of the Elderly (LBFE) is a volunteer based organization committed to relieving isolation and loneliness among the elderly. We are seeking volunteers who occasionally have time during the day to help out with our Medical Escort Program. Through this program, volunteers provide crucial transportation services to our older adult participants, to and from their medical appointments. Volunteers are needed to pick up the elder at their home, escort them to their appointment, and then drive them home after their appointment is complete. This service is free to older adults who are enrolled in our program. You do not need your own vehicle to participate. Ride-share services, such as Uber or Lyft are great, just keep in mind that LBFE will not be able to reimburse you for such rides.

All volunteers will need to attend a volunteer orientation as well as complete a background check in order to become a Medical Escort. If you would like to become a medical escort with LBFE or for more information about our organization, please email Debbie (duchida@littlebrotherssf.org) or call the LBFE office at (415) 771-7957.
