Community Development Network (CDN) is a registered Cameroonian non-governmental, non-profit humanitarian organization under Decree No 023/RDA/B15/A2/SAAJP and Incorporated as a 501c3 in the United States. CDN works to mobilize and enhance the capacities and life standards of the needy communities in Cameroon whilst holding absolute hope in changing their lives through a participatory and a sustainable manner. CDN offers access to opportunities that are fulfilling and engaging, which contribute to the development of community initiatives and the betterment of the society life.

Our Vision

Community Development Network (CDN) aims at building the capacities of the rural and marginalized population (children, youths and women) to participate in the development process of their communities and to have access and appropriate utilization of the basic rights of: health, education, shelter, security and food in Cameroon (Africa).


Promote the education of children, girls and the disabled to access normal schooling, learn how to read and write, receive literacy classes and training in creative learning activity.

Sensitize people on environmental problems and protection, renewable energy (solar panels, wind ...), waste disposal and set up local organization for garbage collection and disposal by inhabitants.

Provide medical and humanitarian aid to those who can't afford it, hygiene education, prevention and the fight against HIV/AIDS, Malaria amongst other contagious and prevalent diseases.

Train youths to acquire practical skills (bakery, masonry, hairdressing, mechanic ...) through training workshops, support for micro- projects, promote the products of artisans for them to expand their business and improve their profitability.

Facilitate the training and access to Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for youths, women and the underprivileged to use the computer, internet and acquire basic PC user skills.

Enable orphaned disabled or disadvantaged children (up to 15years) to be sponsored and monitored during childhood and adolescence by one or more sponsors in Africa or abroad.

Work with rural farming cooperatives for better market access and help women with micro- development projects commodity their products for a better income.

Participation: Promoting the participation of individuals and communities, particularly those marginalised / excluded by recognising and rooting out challenging barriers to full and effective participation and sharing good practice in order to learn from each other.

We offer volunteer and internship opportunities in the fields of medicine, education, tourism, public health, guidance and counseling, arts, marine conservation, environmental conservations, youth development etc.
